But as to why Shane didn't shoot him in the head, I think he wanted Otis to make a lot of noise while being eaten, and keep moving to distract the rest of the walkers while he got away. Good move tactically, but pretty low on the humanity scale.
Ok, "I'll bite," since people are still commenting on this....
I found myself completely falling under the spell of this show and couldn't figure out 'for the life of me' why it was happening. Then it hit me: as I go through life and about my business, it strikes me that many or most of the people I encounter really do behave like zombies, minus the actual lust for human flesh. Although, I bet those who do crave brain don't exactly advertise it. Anyway, I hear the first thing to happen after you are bitten is that you begin to lose your inhibitions which normally prevent you from doing this sort of thing. Or was that alcohol and drugs? I get turned around on this stuff. Forgive the rambling....
P.S. Don't actually have anything against the alcohol. Except when I'm carrying, of course. Cheers.
But Mad Men is excellent, and Breaking Bad is probably one of the best shows ever. Season 4 and the first half of 5 of BB wer truly great. Probably one of the greatest runs ever, on par with the first season of the Wire.

I got hooked at the start of Season 2. I thought it was going to be a stupid show. Right before Season 2 started, they had a marathon and I started watching it because there wasn't anything else on at the time. Needless to say when Season 2 started, I was already hooked and couldn't wait for the episodes to play out.
I've been waiting all summer for it to start back. I'm still waiting for it to pick up a little bit, only because the last season ended with such a big bang!
I'm skeptical about Lori being dead. I say this, because we didn't really see Carl shoot her. The gunshot we heard, could've been him shooting and missing her because he backed out at the last minute or he could have shot a zombie.
The phone call freaked me out and I couldn't believe that someone was calling. I'm with agreement with those that think that Rick has gone temporarily insane. I haven't read the comics so it didn't occur to me that he thinks he's talking to Lori. Whatever it is, its all in his imagination.
On another note, I think its curious that they had T-bone on "Talking Dead" when his character died but they didn't have "Lori" on. Its because she's not dead. ;-)
It'll be interesting to see how everything unfolds. I'm surprised that Hershel lived and I'm surprised to see how many people online that say that they hated Lori.
Stay tuned to the same zombie channel at the same zombie time to see how what happens next.
Which one is Hershel?
I'm not a fan of Lori b/c the character has no depth (at least the first season and a half, which is all I've seen). It's not that I don't think she can act; the writers just never really gave her a chance. Other than be mad at Rick most of the time and constantly lose Carl, what has her character done?
Herschel is the old man at the farmhouse. He's also Maggie's dad.
Its gonna get good now (in regards to episode "Hounded") - Its gonna be, Rick vs. The Governor. We knew it was coming.
So, it was Lori on the phone. Who was the man on the phone?
Carol is alive
The baby grew to the size of a 2 month old in 4 hours. Still no formula in sight.
I agree that there's gonna be a brother beat down, maybe in the next episode.
The black girl (Michonne?) is going to join Rick's group.
Will Andrea be loyal to the Gov. or Rick when the SHTF scenario starts?
Rick has definitely taken a dip off of the deep end. He's talking to imaginary people but it seems to have somewhat snapped him back to reality. He's finally realized that he's going to have to take care of Carl and the baby. The thing I'm wondering about is his state of mind when he goes up against the governor. Will the governor meet sane Rick or crazy Rick?
I originally thought that they were trying to trick us and that Carl did not really shoot Lori. When he admitted to it though, I have to say that I believe him now and this makes me believe the zombie really did eat Lori.
Its interesting to question and ask about Adrea's loyalty. I think she's going to be ticked and take the governor's side, especially now that they're lovers.
For the record, I don't think the governor bought Merle's story and its only a matter of time when he gets caught in his lie and I think it will turn out to be a fatal mistake.
