At the children's service in my church we have a man who dresses up as Saint Nicholas and ties that into the Christmas spirit of giving to others less fortunate. I think it's a great way to blend the two things because when kids think "Christmas" they first think "Santa Claus".

You know, so long as Christ remains at the center of Christmas in the church, I can see that working. I hope the Saint Nicholas at your church actually talks about Christ because the secular Santa Claus sure doesn't make the connection. Cheers!

I hate fake pockets on suit coats
I also learned I hate fake buttonholes opposite buttons on blouses (wife asked me to hang up a couple of blouses for her) What is up with that?

Those fake pockets can become vents if you use a razor blade.

I like hanging Christmas lights outside in my T-shirt. It's 70 here today.

Dec 1 & I'm out there in a T-Shirt. It's great because I still have some Winter prep to do outside.

Oh yeah, they definitely make the connection. I forgot to say that it's a Catholic church.

Are you sure they're fake? A lot of times they don't take the thread out that closes them up. I bet 50% of my dressier pants and jackets have the pockets sewn closed. I have to get out my seam ripper.

I hate geese.
I can't even step off the sidewalk in my favorite park anymore.
They might as well fence it off and let it go wild.

Just returned from trip to Rome and Barcelona...awesome sights but no LGS's in Vatican City or on La Ramblas. Nice weather, though...probably better than Michigan's! :-)

Our one park gets completely covered with Goose crap. I don't take my dog there anymore.
Watch out for that Goose Poop. Always Salmonella and sometimes a very antibiotic resistant strain of E. Coli.
Wash you dogs paws if they are walking in it & take precautions for yourself.

I thought my suit coats had fake pockets too until someone showed me that you have to remove the seam. It was years before this happened though.
