LOL, yeah, I would be too. My father was Canadian and this all took place when I lived in northern NY.
You've given me a good idea. Next year I'm going to make Oyster Stew and have my sisters over. We'll pick up the old tradition.
Enjoy your southern food! Sadly, I'll never know what "hog jowls" taste like.

First the disclaimer:This is not political.

Doesn't it seem odd to you that when Hillary first fell and hit her head she wasn't admitted to the hospital for a full exam and MRI? I keep looking for an article that explains what happened right after the fall but haven't seen anything. Did anyone call a doctor? If they did, I can't believe that the doctor for the Secretary of State didn't want to immediately examine her. Just because she was dehydrated from the stomach flu and "fainted" doesn't mean you assume that was the cause right up front.

I dunno...the whole episode is very strange, unless I've missed the report about what occured after she fainted.

That is very curious since even what someone may consider a minor bump on the head may turn into a life threatening injury.

Very good point, and from past experiences it is evident that political leaders are always a little over protected. But then it would not be the first time that this administration has done some very strange things while apparently hiding motives and facts.

Yes! That she would be immediately examined would be the very minimum of care for the average person, but this is the SECRETARY OF STATE!

My father died of a small bump on the head, and the hospital that sent him home with his life-ending injury sent my Mom a bill no less. Cads.

    That's not very random............just following a thought process..........sorry folks..........

    I agree with JL

Oh my goodness, that's a shame! Was that before MRI's were common?

Not to worry, it has been awhile now (10 years this fall). It was pure incompetence at the hospital, anybody with a pea-brain would have admitted him for diagnostics. It was Saturday evening though.........He was on Plavix and hit his head in a fall. Dah. Subdural. He died six days later. It was his time, and he was at peace. The Greatest Generation.

Sorry to derail the randomness herein.

How did HotGuns get caught outside without his EDC though? That is the question of the day!

Do you know what we nick-named Monessen Trout years ago?

They were the condoms that you would always see floating down the Monongahela River.

Back then you really couldn't eat any fish that you caught because the rivers were so yukky but, seeing the condoms drifting down the water helped to make certain that you wouldn't.

The "Mon" The "Al" & The "O" sure have cleaned up since though and the "Three Rivers" are quite clean these days.

Where the three rivers meet. The Ohio, Allegheny, & Monongahela.
It's not The Smoky City anymore...of course there is no Steel Industry anymore either. PGH. is a Techno City now.

An interesting fact. The water in the fountain does not emanate from any of the three rivers. There is a 4th underground river and the fountain water at The Point is pumped up from that river.
