We are humans and not calves. Why do we drink the milk from cows? Even calves stop drinking cows milk after that period of initial nursing.

In nature no specie of animal will nurse or take the milk from any other/different animal specie. It is against the laws of nature.

My husband found out he is dairy intolerant, so I decided that instead of having both cow milk and soy in the house, we would just do soy. Funny, my face stopped breaking out for the first time since puberty. I didn't do too much dairy other than that...

But quitting pizza is not going to be so easy....

But you're wrong about the laws of nature. There are plenty of instances of baby animals nursing cross breed, mostly in cases where the mother has abandoned the baby and a sympathetic mom of another specie takes the baby in. Cats nursing puppies, dogs nursing squirrels. And at least one instance of human nursing puppy. (gaah!)

I couldn't survive without milk. It makes my protein drinks oh so yummy and adds that many more calories. And i drink it with almost every meal.

Full fat milk is very beneficial to those who work out but mainly those with a fast metabolism like me.

I miss the fresh squeezed milk we had on my grandparent’s farm. Store bought milk just does not taste the same.

Hey come on now QKshooter...Do you honestly think the calves would have stopped drinking milk if someone would have broke out with the thin mints, oreos, or homemade chocolate chip cookies. There is a reason they are lower on the food chain. Not only are cows not so bright but they are delicious.

It is probably still floating around in cyber space somewhere.
At first look it LOOKED somehow like it SHOULD be very pornographic but, I guess it really isn't.

Regarding Milk. I only drink/use Organic milk these days even though it costs about twice as much. Normally I do not go all ga ga over "organic" because there is no real evidence that non organic veggies and fruits are any better or worse for human consumption as long as you wash your fruits and veggies.

BUT, the organic milk comes from cows that are not given any antibiotics and more importantly any hormones to increase milk production. Those DO end up in the milk and can cause problems in humans. I don't really want or need any estrogen and it can increase the incidence of breast cancer in females. Just FYI.

Also...it is now believed that the increasing amounts of estrogen in milk is the #1 reason why young females are reaching puberty at such earlier ages than ever before.

I agree. I can be particular when it comes to my food (most of the time, anyway, I admit I do eat the occasional processed and fast food). I try to avoid any hormone-laden food, and try to do all organic fruits/veggies. I don't believe a wash gets rid of all the contaminants; pesticides don't end up just on the fruit, but end up seeping through the root systems of the plant, which in turn end up in the fruit.

I prefer to grow my own tomatoes and bell peppers anyway. You can't beat the flavor.

If you're worried about the loss of calcium by quitting milk, there are plenty of other foods and supplements to compensate.
