That's at least 50 grand right there!

Gone, like my last paycheck. Gone, gone away.

I work for one of the companies working on replacing their stuff on the shelves. Gonna be a bit of a work bump for a while I guess. It was last night for sure.

I suspect think the Ho Hos will remain edible longer than the 9mm will remain shootable.

No way those ho hos are gonna last. I'd have them eaten up in a day or two.

Well...if we do make it another 15 years or so without an economic collapse...
you could sell them on Ebay and make a fortune....

Right now there is an auction on there with 5 boxes of twinkies for $104 and one with 2 boxes for $100. People are insane! Maybe I need to go twinkie shopping too.

The burning question is, though: Which lasts longer, Ho-Ho's or Twinkies?

Why on earth would someone pay that much for Twinkies? I just looked and there are some absolutely insane Buy It Now prices on them. I imagine there are those out there that will actually buy them too. What I find really funny about this whole thing is that there is a company out of Mexico that is working on obtaining the recipe and rights to continue producing them, and all these people are freaking out like they'll never see another Twinkie again.

As if Twinkies are an investment.

I guess one could say ... only ding dongs buy twinkies, particularly at $100/cs.

As you said: the recipe likely won't die, in typical "Twinkies" (800yr half-life) fashion. Someone'll pick it up. Hopefully it won't be in China, where who-knows-what additives, preservatives and "thinners" would be added ... as if they could be made any more injurious to the health. Ah, well. The subtleties of international junk food tribulations.

This could turn into a Ho Ho & Twinkie war, just like "caliber wars". Let's hope not!

I can personally testify that a HO HO hits one in the head with more force that a Twinkie.

Its all about the weight and the speed, or force that it hits you with. Although the Twinkie has a better ballistic coefficient and fly through the air better than the HO HO...remember...its mostly about weight.

The HO HO flying at the same speed as the Twinkie will cause a momentary lapse of consciousness if it hits you. The Twinkie on the other hand, will just bounce off of your noggin and fall to the floor, you will still have the ability to just pick it up and eat it.

This is no theory, but fact. It was proven to me by my Sister when I laughed at her choice of date for the senior prom...back in 1978.
