Actually, one that would be pretty realistic, is the scene from The Survivors where Robin Williams brings an armada of weapons, and Jerry Reed just has his 1911. Robin sprays and prays and runs out of bullets quickly, then finds out he brought the wrong size bullets. Jerry fires a couple shots from his 1911 and wins the fight. Funny, but probably way to likely to happen for a lot of people.

Thanks for the input everyone. This is great. A couple of these are 'classics'. As for me, I have not seen a lot of the later movies (don't like crowds). Now I can work on a movie list to download.

The hallway scene from Faster, as far as how violence of action can work.
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, "I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along." . . . You must do the thing you think you cannot do. Eleanor Roosevelt

I don't know how realistic it was, but Liam Neeson in Taken - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVXLzcaMObg

The last scene where the sheik is holding a knife to his daughter's throat and Liam takes him out is just like a scenario in a Force on Force training session I attended. Aim for the exposed eye and as soon as the bad guy starts talking, take the shot.

Harlem Knights. When Arsenio Hall's character and one of his goons are spraying a storefront with Thompsons and the other goon fires his .38 spl revolver a few times. Finally Eddie Murphy's character pops up and takes all 3 down with 3 shots form a Colt 1903, either .380 or .32 acp. Real as Hollywood gets.

Korean movie called "The Man from Nowhere". Start at 1:30 for the fight.

I don't remember which movie... Bruce Willis in it.... but he's shot about 12 times and still fighting.... then he drops the bad guy with 1 shot. Uhhhhhhhhh...... OK. That's one of the most unrealistic and funny one's to me.

Should be in the $5 bin at the marts. Written by Tarentino. Also has Christian Slater, Christopher Walken, Dennis Hopper, Brad Pitt(for about three minutes), Gary Oldman, Tom Sizemore, and other familiar faces.

A hidden gem of 90's films, which was the best decade for movies.

I think your talking about Last Man Standing. BW's comes in with a pair of gov't issue 1911's and lays waste to the place.
Best line in the movie of course comes from Christopher Walken, "I don't want to die in Texas. Chicago, maybe. You can meet me there if you want and try to kill me"

Off Topic - The Bestest Hollywood Self Defense Scene?

Clear and Present Danger with Harrison Ford has a great scene I don't know this for a fact but I was told the FBI used it as a training video
