Have a hard time getting up at 0 dark 30 to hit the woods when they've already got a good one in the freezer?

I wimped out yesterday and today because...well...because it was just so warm and comfy in bed. I know this probably makes me a wimp but I've hunted about 25 or 30 days this year and my fun meter is starting to red line.

Anyone else out there slacking off too? anyone? Bueller?

I'm not a morning person, and I have friends who are infinitely better hunters than I am. My freezer is packed and I haven't killed a thing.

Because there is always that little voice in my head shouting "Play to the whistle!" or "Fight to the bell!". It seems I'm still competing, even if my only competition is myself.

The last time I awoke earlier than shortly after 6 am was when I had to work for the Election Polls. I had to get up at 4:30 am to be there at 5:30 am.

When the freezer is empty or close to it, no problem... When I have one in for the year though, I suddenly become allergic to getting up early on my day off.

I get that feeling every morning before work... The feeling doesn't change when its hunting season.

My luck sucks hunting. I got tired of going into the woods and not seeing a damn thing. And freezin my tushy off. As long as there is mickey ds and pizza huts Im good to go. Ill spend my firearms time on the tactical side of things.

I have been at it every day this week, and finally put one in the freezer today. I could go out tomorrow, but am going to take a pass. I'll go back out on the 15th.

Its not nearly as hard as waking up at 0 dark 30 to go to work instead of hunting when there isn't meat in the freezer.

I kinda get that way sometimes as well.
But I also tell myself to get out there, next day could be golden.

If any of you guys are in the Bluffton OH location, I saw the 2nd biggest deer of my life in the field.
He was bedded down right along side the freeway @ the 142 exit (southbound side), between the freeway fence, and a pond, on the west side of the freeway about 50-60 yds. away as I drove south.
Plain as day, 10:30 AM just laying there watching traffic go by as he was in some grass and small trees 20 yards from the pond
