I have no clue who Doug McKay is, but Jefferson's numerous commentaries on many things need to be taken with a considerable
grain of sand. Although he has an "honored" place in America's history books, a thorough examination of who he was and what
he was really like, his pattern of saying one thing and doing something else, back door conniving, complex political maneuvering,
and physical absence from the Revolutionary War, to say nothing about his considerable hypocrisy regarding slavery, make
him among our worst of the founding fathers IMO.
