    This is true. I only recently got into firearms for SD. Just got my CCW last week. Every time my father is in public with me he just has to mock me about the need to carry. Granted he is oblivious with no SA and would never even know if I was carrying. Just because I applied for my permit he thinks my actions are irrational and irresponsible. I'm sure he will eat up the anti-gun propaganda that the current administration and media will be feeding the public. Indeed our rights are being threatened.

    Our only hope to win this war upon our gun rights is to get more responsible gun owners in america. Doctors, bankers, teachers, mothers, your barber. Unless the tide turns and we outnumber them we may loose our right to bear arms.

    People, in general, are far too concerned about being "liked". I have to admit, there are people who do not "like" me - and they don't even know I own guns. It doesn't bother me very much, I generally don't like them either.

    I stopped caring about that kind of thing long, long ago.

    His point is well taken. There seems to be a subculture out there that is determined to change everyone into gun lovers. I don't care if you like me or not. I don't care if you don't like guns.

    However, if you threaten me or my family I will change your viewpoint on who is about to become a casualty.

    Serve my country, swear an oath to protect it, pay my taxes, fly old glory in the front yard, love and protect my family, honor the vets before me and help fellow americans in need.
