I'm now starting to mention the Christmas Cheer. I'll use any and all allusions to Christmas, because I think it can help make people happier, even if they grump at first. I don't believe that Jesus was anything other than a troublesome preacher, but I think that being festive has its time and place.

Merry Christmas. And when the store clerks say Happy Holidays, I say Merry Christmas to them. Some actually then say Merry Christmas. I have been told by some that they aren't allowed to say Merry Christmas.

I've been known to have a sign/ sticker on the back of my vehicles which says,:
" It's not illegal to say Merry Christmas, yet."

It's kind of like how some people have a sudden and insatiable desire to talk about vampires after the Twilight series became popular, except zombies are much less gay and more likely to exist one day

    "Happy Winter Solstice!"

And yes, I am routinely surprised at how many people do not know that the earth's seasons are caused by the earth's axial tilt, rather than by the earth getting closer to and further away from the sun.

Naw, I see zero reason to either perceive or push for hurt feelings. Tis the season, man. Want to wish me Happy Holiday? Well, okay! I like and appreciate the positive aspects of that sentiment.

The bumper sticker is to tweek the liberals. I get thumbs up every year.

As to the store people, I don't blame them for what their bosses tell them to do.

I just don't believe in all of the PC crap.

At the store I simply wish people a happy holiday season. That pretty much covers everybody. If somebody wishes me a Merry Christmas, I respond in kind. We're not instructed by corporate as to what to say. We just try to make it through the season offending the fewest people we can. "Bah, humbug!!"
