    Hockey Fans?

Any gun toting hockey fans? Mrs. Iggy and I are season ticket holders for the Carolina Hurricanes and totally pissed about this whole debacle of the lockout... AGAIN... Lost an entire season 8 years ago and they come to the end of that new contract and lockout again.

I'm equally ticked off at the owners and the players. This is no way to run a professional sports league.

Anyway, it sounds like there may be some traction in the negotiations and a partial season may be in the making. I have absolutely NO desire to pay money for a partial season. But as season ticket holders I'm "forced" to or have to cancel my account, which is what I'll do. I don't want to pay full price for games in a season that will have an asterisk next to it in the history books.

From the Hurricanes standpoint, new coach, two new top signings (Jordan Staal and Alexander Semin) made for what was going to be a very exciting and promising season. Stinks that everything had to be disrupted.
Raleigh... Where Barney comes to Party...

Glock 27 or M&P Shield for every day carry (LCP for deep conceal when necessary)... Glock 23 for the home.

Call me Iggy. Only my mother calls me by my full given name.

I'm a fan. But I live in Atlanta... the only city ever lose its hockey franchise TWICE. Go Thrashers... just go.

    Re: Hockey Fans?

Just finished my undergrad at the University of North Dakota. Went in not knowing much about hockey, left a die hard fan.

You can’t blame the players for asking for the money, but, you can blame the owners for paying it out!

There isn’t any pro-athlete that is worth the money these players get. $25m a year to play baseball, tennis, golf, soccer, ping-pong that’s BS!!

But if the owners are willing to pay it out in the first place, then sign me up too! The owners and the league-crony’s deserve what-ever financial burden they shoulder once they sign the players paycheck. If they didn’t start ponying out the big-bucks to chumps like cindy babycry then the tickets wouldn’t be over priced and a 12-oz beer wouldn’t cost $10-bucks and there would be a 2012/13 NHL season.

Before you misunderstand what I’m about to say re-read the first & third paragraph above: The owners are a bunch a wieners that, on their own discretion, started paying the players too much and now they want the players to pay for their <the owners> mistake.

When it cost a family of four a week’s salary to sit in the cheep-seats for one football game there is something wrong with this picture!

Grew up in Raleigh loving hockey before the 'canes came to town and everyone jumped on the bandwagon. The lockout sucks, but losing full seasons is what happens when you have to deal with the labor laws of two countries.

While hockey players do make a lot of money to play a game, they're the least destructive of the offenders. You could run a small country with what the red sox players make.

Part One: Yes; losing a full season does suck....big-time!

Part Two: No; it has nothing to do with labor laws it's the greasy owners and the commissioner "Batman"

I agree player salaries are the worst and I think Alex Rodriguez is the absolute worst. 27.5 million per year to play baseball? That's not love of the game that's greed.
