    Wow! I'll be cutting a load in the morning and maybe doing some splitting and stacking this weekend...my stacks won't be looking like those.

    Im with ya on that one. I like that pipe underground that brings my gas naturally. I just turn the dial kick back with a frosty brew and watch some gun tv.

    I grew up in a house that had two wood stoves and we used kerosene lamps for lighting, every day after school it was my job to cut the firewood for the night and lug it up to the house. When I moved out I promised my self I would never cut another stick of fire wood and so far I have kept the promise..I'll be 69 next year..

    My brother has heated with wood for years and in my younger days I would cut wood with him and use to always tell me "just one more stick" LOL an hour later we were still cutting!

    We hated with wood for several decades, but I never stacked wood in any fancy configuration.
    The round piles make a lot of sense and hold a LOT of wood.
    Thanks to several of you who posted pics.
    The last Blood Moon Tetrad for this millennium starts in April 2014 and ends in September 2015...according to NASA.
