Dang, if that aint the truth!!
Having grown up in the 50's and 60's I can relate. Have the scars, stitch marks, and had my share of scrapes from the things we did. Not to mention my fair share of blisters on my butt from dad's belt!

My opinion shouldn't be taken seriously due to the fact that I've been shooting guns for over 30 years and have only recently been active on gun forums, where all the real world knowledge apparently is.
My boys (3&5) came in from the back yard and put on their bicycle helmets, I told them to make sure they only ride their bikes in the alley my 5 year old said "We aren't riding bikes Daddy we're just playing" and they went back outside. Where they then proceed to have "sword" fights with sticks

The folks here on DC are not the ones that grew up and "blew it." Right here...We are pretty much of the opposite mindset of the people who grew up and did blow it.
Always try to point your finger in the correct direction.

I grew up like that, and I WISH my kids could as well. In today's world if we allowed this, some nosey, holier than thou individual would report us as neglectful parents, than child protective services will push themselves into the middle of it, while ignoring the child beater and sexual abuser across town!
"Gun Free Zones" is where only criminals carry guns.
