Hello DC, it's me again
Hey guys and gals,
Sorry for once again dropping off unannounced and staying gone for so long. I get hyper focused on things I get involved in and one I started Krav Maga I poured myself in to it. I am now a green belt (level 3) and working towards becoming an instructor. I also left the credit union almost 2 years ago to go back in to IT consulting and needed very badly to study and update my skills from getting caught in the corporate IT rut and management path, forsaking my technical skills.
I hope to stick around more now and since I just had shoulder surgery yesterday I have some much needed down time and figured now would be a good time to hop back on.
So...
What'd I miss?

Everything! we are now DC, Defensive Cooking. We don't do Krav Maga here... but on page 42 there's an excellent recipe for Baklava, if that helps...

Welcome back Paco.
You'll find some of the old timers have moved on to different things. Lots of new Mods now, and of course some of the same discourse that was here last time. Of course SIXTO is still his cheery self, when he's not out saving the world from spies, crooks and various other malcontents.

Welcome back!
What have you missed:
We settled the 9mm vs .45 acp and GLOCK vs 1911 debates and Concealed carry may be coming to an Illinois near you!
I'll let you decide which of those is true.

DC gave away free guns to all the members who were logging onto the forum.
Too bad you missed it...maybe next time.

Oh and by the way, I joined while you were gone...which of course the members are enjoying much more than the free gun. It really is a shame that you missed that.
Welcome back.

The situation will NEVER BE THE WAY YOU WANT, it WILL BE THE WAY IT IS. You must be FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO ADAPT and just "DEAL WITH IT".
