This is NOT about religion, it's about the insideous creep of dismantling the American way of life (liberty and freedom).

Read the part about their belief what the 2nd ammendment is all about.
Thank goodness! I was worried there for a minute!

    From the link:

There also have been reports that the curriculum – contrary to recent Supreme Court rulings – says the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, the right to bear arms, is limited to state-run organizations.

“The collective right’s advocates believed that the Second Amendment did not apply to individuals; rather it recognized the right of a state to arm its militia. It recognized limited individual rights only when it was exercised by members of a functioning, organized militia while actively participating in the militia’s activities.”

Well, since they don't respect the SCOTUS, we'll just see how far they get past go.

Perhaps you should have read the article instead of just reading the title of the article.

Sorry this thread is closed it has been derailed to such an extent that I cannot re-open it without have to delete a majority of the posts in this thread.

Before posting in a thread such as this please re-read Rule 9. We have learned from bitter experience that discussions of certain subjects (politics, religion, abortion, sexual orientation, etc) often degenerate quickly. For this reason, we DO NOT allow the discussion of these topics. We also discourage "caliber war" threads and strongly encourage you not to post a thread starting one. Regardless of your level of experience, caliber is a personal preference and what is right for you may not be right for others.

    And

Rule 2. While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts or PMs. Trolling, flaming, and personal attacks are strictly prohibited. You are welcome to disagree with opinions other than your own, but flaming other members will not be allowed. If you can't figure out how to compose a post without it being confrontational or a personal attack on someone, simply bite your lip and don't post it.

It will help keep threads open longer

Please. No more thread topics like this. You can see what they ultimately morph into.
It happens every single time and that is why we have a forum rule stating that we do not allow religious discussion even in the forum Off Topic area.
It is not because we are anti religion and it is not because we do not like Jesus or we think that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob sing better than The Three Tenors or that Buddha is right and so is Zeus but, RA The Sun God is wrong.
It is because religious discussion (in general) belongs on religion based web sites (of which there are probably a Million of them out there) and not on our forum.
If you want to discuss religion and debate Christianity as VS Islam ~ or Evolution VS Creationism or whatever then either do it VIA the Private Mail feature or go to another web site and get it all out of your system and then come back here.
