Tom Cruise is good but Jack Reacher he ain't. Reacher is a very large battle scarred ex MP and the complete physical opposite of pretty boy Cruise. Cruise as Jack Reacher is a complete mis-cast. It's even worse than that ridiculous casting of Lindsey Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor.

    Jack Reacher

That's what enough money gets you, stupid casting choices.

From what I've seen of Cruise in different action movies, he seems to take pride in his gun handling and training. I haven't read the books and don't know if I'll see the movie.

I took my son to see it yesterday. I'm glad I wasn't familiar with any JR books because I thought he was great. My dad was only 5'8" and 135lbs. But, he was one of the baddest people walking the planet. So, I know that a small guy can be a tough character. I only paid $4 for my ticket. But, I would pay to see it again.

It's not so much about smaller guys having the potential to be a tough guy; it's about how the character was written and portrayed, and it's a fairly significant theme throughout his novels that JR is a very big, bad dude. It would be about like redoing The Lord of the Rings and making the Hobbits tall and muscular.

    Saw it yesterday.

    YAWN!!

I'll say this. It was "okay" as this type of movie goes. Cruise ain't Jack Reacher, that's for sure.

If you've never read the books, it would be better. Still, it was all fairly predictable from the opening scene.

I wish I had about an hour and a half of those two hours back.
