Yep. My brother is an anti and that is exactly how he sees it. I nobody had a gun, then all crime will be stopped.

Makes perfect sense, because before the invention of guns, no one was ever stabbed with a knife, beaten with a club, run over by a horse, or otherwise had violence enacted upon them.

In spite of technological advances that make out lives easier than ever before, it seems to me that we are losing the simple ability to reason.

We aren't teaching history, we aren't teaching our kids how to think, and we sure aren't teaching common sense.

It's just a matter of time until this nation implodes from stupidity at all levels.

i wouldn't use smoking as an example, as that does affect others' health through secondhand smoke. OMO.

I agree entirely, however it should still be up to the owner of the property to decide whether or not to allow smoking. If you don't like smoking, don't go to the restaurant/business in question. Write letters, organize boycotts, but absolutely do not use the threat of violence. After all, that is what they have done. The law says that if you are caught allowing smoking in an establishment, you are subject to fines. If you refuse to pay those fines, what happens next? Armed men in costumes with government issued badges and government issued guns will come kidnap you, and steal your property to pay those fines.

smoking isn't a right. Why should I be restricted in where I can choose to go, based on whether its posted smoking/no smoking? Here, every business is non smoking per law. It made working security at bowling alley much more tolerable, as I wasn't walking through a smoker induced fog inside the building.
