Yep, I stocked up, too. Learned my lesson in 1994. Sure hope nothing happens to them when I take my son's Little League team out on the bay for the annual ice fishing/Grand Slam derby next month. If I lose them all again, I'll have no assault bats to register when they're all banned...

I already own an Assault Bat. I got it in the 1970's when I was into Baseball. Of course that was just the excuse I needed to accquire one at our local Sporting Goods Store. Well, prior to the Bat Control Legislation during the Clinton administration. Mine is actually worth much more being a well built, high capacity 36 incher!
Although, I live close to the Ohio River and mine got lost when I took it with me on a fishing trip for protection from agressive Catfish. I guess it must have floated to New Orleans by now and some Katrina refugee has it in their possession.
So now I am batless.
