I was skeptical until this old-timer showed me how to do it - blindfolded. I consistently had the wires cross when I walked over a buried gas line.
I'll use them again in 4 years to find my guns.
It's all part of the big picture.

I tried using them to find my "Mind" still MIA...The Divining rods kept pointing back at me I guess I'm just too "divine"

If you throw a rock out and dig where it lands, you will find something buried there. It also works if you throw a real pigskin football and possibly with a washing machine (really hard to throw any useful distance).

For years I thought that dowsing worked and I'd "use" it to find field lines and the like. then I had some friends assist me in a more scientific experiment where they dug holes and put large bottles of water in a few of them
I couldn't find a damned thing :P
So no, the success of dowsing is more related to head games you play with yourself than with any sort of mysterious fields affecting the rods
