We had an actual Amish Driveby several years ago.

We have a rather large Amish community where I live and several years ago, one of them was messing around with another one's wife. The Amish guy whose wife was messing around, drove by in his buggy and shot the other one in the butt with a .22 rifle while he was standing out in his yard.

The victim refused to be transported to the hospital. It was the State Trooper who figured out what happened. I can't remember what the Amish guy's original story was, but my boss said it was pretty funny listening to the conversation between the State Trooper and the victim's mother. It would violate Rule #4 of the forum rules if I repeated it. It had the EMS crew laughing their asses off.

My boss called the hospital on the radio and told them he was sending them a driveby shooting victim in by private vehicle. He told them they had a 48 hour eta. Hospital asked how long? He said 48 hours, they're coming by horse and buggy! He called them later on the phone and explained what was going on. They had a good laugh too.
