Odd coincidence.
With ammo prices and availability, I was thinking about cutting back on the rate that I'm depleting my reserve and picking up a couple compound bows for my son and I for our birthdays this summer. With the modern sights and releases, they really do leverage the skills of rifle shooting.

I shoot olympic style recurve for the Texas A&M archery team.
I hope they don't restrict how many arrows I can carry in my high-capacity-magazine-quiver-clip-arrow'munition-feeding-device-thingy that straps around my waist.

I second your idea of getting a bow. I bow hunted for years but wasn't a good shot even though I practiced. I just can't judge distance well enough. But I certainly enjoyed the quiet of bow season vs gun season (fewer hunters also) and saw more game.
I still have my gear but shoulder issues prevent me from drawing a bow.

When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk.

As long as you don't attach the shoulder thing that goes up, you'll be fine.

I hear ya. I'm still in ok shape, but after recently spending a day with a 75lb pull, I was amazed at all the odd places I was hurting in the next morning.
