Life in a Jar: The Irena Sendler Project www.irenasendler.com
From a "Vietnam Era Vet." (I didn't serve "in country" but was sworn in on 7/19/1973.)
We enlisted to do serve our nation and do our job. We always loved our nation, yet we're concerned with our Government. When we swore to defend our nation against all enemies, both foreign and domestic it never expired at the end of our enlistment... but was tattooed for life on our very souls.
It was an honor and privilege to have served.
