    Young Entrepeneurs

A Bend ,Oregon policeman had a perfect spot to watch for speeders, but wasn't getting many. Then he discovered the problem--a 12-year-old boy was standing up the road with a hand painted sign, which read 'RADAR TRAP AHEAD.' The officer also found the boy had an accomplice who was down the road with a sign reading 'TIPS' and a bucket full of money.

Why would they get into trouble. They were getting people to drive the speed limit whether the cop had really been there or not. The State should put up those kind of signs. It would probably cause people to drive more safely. Oh yeah........that's right........there is the little matter of collecting fines. NEVER MIND!

About 6 years ago when I still lived in WV I got pulled over by the state police for flashing my lights at oncoming traffic to alert them of a speed trap. I was cresting a big hill and on the other side of the road there was a speed trap hidden from view by the crown of the hill. As I got over the top I was flashing my lights like crazy at other drivers to get them to slow down.

That's when I saw the state po po on my side as well and a angry trooper flagging me down by hand. He came up to my window all huffy and asked "Are your headlights not working correctly?" I said nope they are working just fine. He then asked why they were flashing and I told him because I was warning other drivers to slow down for the speed trap. He pointed a finger at me and said "DON'T DO IT AGAIN" and told me to drive on. I honestly wanted to laugh at him but I'm not stupid enough to poke and angry bear with a stick. I kept my mouth shut and drove away.

@JoJo This was the big hill on 75/52 just South of where I would turn right onto airport road.
