Zombie warnings. I am glad that I stocked up on ammo

In Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the emergency broadcast system issued a warning around 8:30 tonight about zombies being raised from the dead and attacking the living. It turned out to be a hoax, but the scary part is that someone has the ability to hack into the EBS.

Seems as if hackers have been very busy lately. I agree, it's scary that the EBS can be hacked because it could be used for other purposes.

Also, people have to know what they can trust and this will breech that trust if the time comes when something important is happening...like a terrorist attack.
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

The link is dead. Funny, but bothersome that the EBS can be hacked.

What continues to amaze me is that these sensitive systems--power grids, EBS, the DoD--are connected to the internet, an open door to hackers. Systems such as that should be strictly intranet.
