If that was Joe's cat he would have just blasted away in the general direction of the mouse hole. That mouse seems to be giving it some thought and waiting patiently for the enemy to show himself. Clearly NOT Joe's cat.

I agree with you Jeanlouise. The cat would have either fired two shots in the ceiling or through the wall if it was Joe's cat. This cat is responsibly waiting to positively identify it's target before firing. Definitely not Joe's cat.
