I love a good story.. and this is one of them.

Sometimes people really do come through, in this case it was a whole group of people. Pilots, flight attendants, ground crews, and probably even the hand of God.

    Story is here.

If Kerry Drake missed his connecting flight, he wouldn't get to the hospital in time to say goodbye to his mother.

Drake got the news on the morning of January 24 that his mother, who had been ill for years from rheumatoid arthritis and had been especially sick the last four months, was dying.

To get to his mother in Lubbock, Texas, the San Francisco resident booked a United Airlines flight, with only 40 minutes between connecting flights in Houston. When his first flight was delayed, Drake thought he would miss his connecting flight to Lubbock, the last one of the day....

I saw this story earlier today, but they (for some reason) did not mention the airline. Looks like it was United Airlines....kudos to them!

Great story and reminds me that in spite of what else is going on in the country, good people exist.
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Very nice to see some decent people still around these days. Looks like I'll be flying American from now on and maybe some of those employees from united transfered over

Gosh, it seems good stories like this one rarely make the news. I agree with Jeanlouise that good people do exist, and they may be the silent majority.

Well, here's another one. Southwest this time. The pilot said, "Well, they can't leave without me."
