Clearly it no longer exists within government.

I just don't see how that is even possible. The warden should be fired. No, make that everyone who had contact with this man and did nothing should be fired. Can you imagine if he had been an illegal alien? The UN would be involved, the prison would have been torn down and a park would be in it's place.

Where do you begin with this one? Obviously it wasn't an oversight since they did feed him.

Never saw a Judge? They got off cheap.

Something like that could make him a very vengeful person.

I agree with everything Jeanlouise said, except everyone that had contact with this man and didn't do anything should spend a year in solitary confinement. This story sounds like something from the the Alfred Hitchcock Show.

Watch the movie Murder in the First which is inspired by the true story of Henri Young who was kept in solitary confinement.

Multiple failures to protect civil rights. Despicable and disturbing that an American Gulag could exist. OTOH 2 years for $15.5 Million...

How does that happen? Someone(s) should have paid for this with their job, instead the tax payers shell out $15 plus million.

I can think of a lot worse a person could go through for a whole lot longer and not get anywhere near $15.5 Mil.

The H E double hockeysticks my job has put me through the last 20 years has certainly not paid off anywhere near that much.

Don't forget it would be named after him.
