Yes, that is right, I watch it. Mostly because it is so stupid! I like watching my wifes reactions to how they portray folks on the show. But she does admit that her real army wife friends that had husbands in more conventional units were closer to the woman (and guy) in the show.

If there is anyone else out there we can form a support group LOL

You just threw it out there. I respect that.

I watched Desperate Housewives for a while.

Nope, not at all. I don't watch such silliness but to each their own. I am however digging the new Vikings serious, pretty much the clean version of STARZ's Spartacus.

    What OldVet said! Haha

I think there was some sort of version of that show, or maybe the same one and they didn't care it wasn't Army, that showed up to do casting around Camp Pendleton. If I remember correctly, many units forbade their Marines from allowing their wives to go.

    No facts, just IIRC-ness.

Army Wives does not use real wives. It is just a stupid drama

I never watch any of those shows, can't stand them. That's not to say my TV viewing is all that intellectual, just different junk.

I was an AF wife for 23 years so maybe I'm just jealous of Army Wives. They all dress beautifully, are gorgeous, live in fabulous houses and seem to have untold amounts of time on their hands to drink wine. (At least that's what I gather from watching the promos for the show).

There is nothing real about any "reality" show. None of them come even close to passing for entertainment.

It is not a reality show.
