Saw a "real" "Sons of Anarchy" MC gang member today!

Oh lordy! I was in a gun store today and this guy and woman come in, both wearing those cheap nylon "one size fits all" shoulder holsters with some sort of black guns in them. Reminded me of "Lana" on the TV show "Archer" with her Tech 9 in a shoulder holster. LOL The woman had hers on outside of her shirt, and the man had his on the OUTSIDE of his biker vest.

Then he turned around and his vest was an honest to goodness "Son's of Anarchy" vest complete with a California rocker.

After a few minutes they left and everyone burst out laughing.

And they were driving a mini-van.

I saw a couple of them riding together on I-80 south of Chicago a couple of years ago. Curious, I check the web and found it is a veterans support MC. How true that is, I do not know, but two of them passed me and I thought it best not to chase them down for pictures.

There is (was? been a while) a "gang" of bikers around here I used to see on weekends. Dressed out in full biker combat ensemble with all the trimmings--all riding Vespas, Cushman scooters, and various Mopeds. It was hilarious. You could tell by the buggy grins on their faces they were having the time of their lives poking fun at the biker gangs.

Yo Anglico, don't be sweating Gecko45, that dude is an Elite Tactical force that saved the butt virginity of the mayor's son at the mall. I read it, BELIEVE!!!

And OP, I was laughing until you said "And they drove a minivan" and then I cried. I really need to trade my minivan in for a truck or something.

Best one I saw was a couple of summers ago. It was close to 90 degrees out and this bad boy was riding a pretty nice bike. It was so hot , he decided to ride shirtless, but had jeans on covered with black leather chaps. Just shook my head.

I would give anything to see that.
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

    The prospect.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Another "reality" show hyped by soap opera style antics and bad editing tricks.

Son's of Anarchy is entertainment but it is Sesame Street compared to a real 1% club. The stepfather of a close female friend was president of an outlaw club, I'm not going to say which one. Some of the things they reportedly did to rival gangs or even their own members make you want to puke. To this day she does not use her maiden name on FB or at any public events ( we were in a band together ) due to her family being targeted by a rival group nearly 20 years ago. Think rival club kidnapping her mom for nearly 2 years, having their home shot up by fully automatic weapons while sleeping, to say nothing of what happens to those seen as betraying their club.

HAHA! That is funny, and the minivan just tops it off.

As far as real 1% clubs, yea they are not to be messed with. Fortunately, if you stay out of their way they won't bother you but otherwise watch out. A few years ago I was at a party hosted by a local car/bike collector at a warehouse he stores his collection in. There were several members of a well known 1% club there in full colors, they were friendly and there to enjoy themselves like everyone else, but it was clear that keeping a respectful distance is advisable.

Yes, at times they seem normal on the surface and I'm sure some chapters are less extreme I was approached following a gig we played by a member of the "Outlaws" who was in full colors. He liked our band and was interested in possibly booking us for an event that was scheduled in the fall of 2012 in Alabama. Seemed nice enough and he told me that he had become a Christian, we talked music for about a half hour. But under the circumstances we felt it too risky to get involved.
