Discussion on Cyprus and what it means to us

I listened to a discussion the other day on the radio about how the banks are failing in Europe an that they do not have the resources to keep bailing them out. The thought was its only a matter of time before it effects our big banks which are so intertwined with European banks. The second thread to this discussion was that's why they are coming for our guns now before banks fail. I am not a conspiracy nut but it seemed to make sense. I guess the older I get the more I mistrust our own government. They keep making terrible decisions for instance furloughing government employees saying they cant afford to pay them than voting to include illegal aliens under obamacare which adds another 22 trillion to the cost. I have to rely on veterans benefits for healthcare an drive 125 miles to get them an now illegal aliens will have healthcare which we pay for seems wrong to me.

The issue is Cyprus WILL affect us. They see our banks accounts and 401k accounts as money sitting there for the taking. They can "invest" better than we can they say. It's all very scarey. I believe if they get a bill through to take our guns it's game over. The banks here are failing. But O won't say it. He's to busy running around a pool with a super soaker.

I couldn't believe it when I saw their government started raiding private accounts. Absolute insanity.

It IS happening. And it can happen here. Make no mistake. 6-9% of their accounts. Absolutely insane.

Most folks on our soil will keep their heads firmly buried in it, until it's too late.

    I'm watching gold prices closely.

Watch silver as well. You will see what the rich are doing to prepare for it. It will be a tell tail sign of what's to come.

Silver is going to rocket along with the price of gold.....IMO could see 4-5K an oz.....especially if the US dollar no longer becomes the world reserve currency if they have their way......that's when the S will HTF.

    FWIW, I prefer gold.

For one, silver will always track gold. It also takes a lot of silver to equal the value to gold (think about bulk/weight if you need to be mobile). I can hold 20K of gold in the palm of my hand.

Good point. My only issue with gold is that should you ever need to barter with it, it's worth too much as a one ounce piece compared to silver. But it's good to have both.

Keep a few cases of whiskey handy for barter.

From what I saw at the gunshow this last weekend, ammo will soon overtake silver.

Consider ammo for a well-rounded investment portfolio...

So back on topic. Cyprus means we need to invest in precious metals, which ever you choose. It's coming.

For me, ammo is more valuable. Gold and silver get recirculated. Unless somebody is reloading, ammo does not.
