    Where 'ur from

In the news this week, a Southern California man was put under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was found he owned 100 guns and
had (by rough estimate) 1 million rounds of ammunition stored in his home. The house also has a secret escape tunnel.
The television reporter said: "Wow! He has about a million machine gun bullets!" and the headline referred to it as a "massive weapons cache."

By California standards someone owning even 100,000 rounds would be called "mentally unstable."

If he lived elsewhere, such as Arizona , he'd be called "an avid gun collector."

In Oklahoma or Texas , he'd be called "a novice gun collector."

In Utah , he'd be called "moderately well prepared," but they'd probably reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food.

In Montana , he'd be called "the neighborhood 'Go-To' guy."

In Idaho , he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate."

In Wyoming , he'd be called "an eligible bachelor."
    and...

In KY or TN , he'd just be called "a Huntin' Buddy."

Yep....just depends on where 'ur from....!

How was it discovered that he owned 100 guns and all this ammo?

I can't post the link but the cops found the guns because of complaints and video surveillance from a few of his "Wally Walks". Apperantly he became unconcealed and scared a few people. This happened in Gleandale near LA so there are NO permits to carry issued there. He was walking about walmart on multiple occasions and exposeing his gun (genitalia) to women and children.

By the titile of msgt/ret post I thought I was on my way to the nut house. If a stockpile of guns/ammo makes you insane I'm nearly certifiable. This guy has other issues going on though.

Nice score for the Glendale PD though. I'm sure they will find use for the ammo as most any judge in that county is likely to strip this guy of his 2A rights. I would say this guy does deserve the 72 hour pysch hold though. After they saw his cluttered house they thought the reason this guy was disturbing people was because he is disturbed.

I wonder what that poor guys chances of getting out of the mental institution are?
California generally considers anyone who owns a gun, a "nut". 100 guns and a million rounds? Committed for life!

In SC, he'd be off to a good start. (referring to the weapons/ammo collection, not the exhibitionism)
