I doubt that I'll miss anything unless it lasts over six months, I have enough food for three months and enough booze and wine for at least six months.

I cannot even imagine all the things that could change. I like my creature comforts and good food. I also enjoy going to bed at night and not worrying about the BGs.

Well, my barter goods stock up for the zombie Apocalypse was 22 LR ammo and toilet tissue.

If you had none: what would you give for some 2 ply tissue, would sure be missing it real quick. There are always alternatives but no real substitute. I'm pretty spoiled.

Down side is I will not need to buy tissue for a while. since the world didn't end on 12/21/12. Shot up the ammo a lot faster.

I would miss the carefree life I can provide for my children. I can batten down the hatches and hold out for a year with my supplies of food/water/ammo.

Still a simple cut or diarrhea may kill you or a loved one in a true SHTF scenario. 6 out of 7 people shot with handguns survive with modern medical treatment and our EMS system. 6 out of 7 would die from a gunshot wound (even a .22lr) in a SHTF scenario.

I never want to fire my gun outside of a learning atmosphere but in a SHTF scenario we will all have to relearn new rules of survival and taking/giving gunfire will be a part of life.

It would depend on what type of poo and who threw it in the fan. If the wife and I can stay with the house not much really. Electric probably but can do without that indefinetly if we have too.

If we had to go mobile probably miss our house and land the most.

    Definitely the normalcy!

Electricity would be the hardest to live without because we're all so dependent on it. Everything runs on electricy...even our water (well pump). We could get a gas generator and that would be good...until there's no more gas.
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
