How to defend against chemical attack home defense???

I am at the end of my rope. I live in a very rural country area. For several weeks now my home has been the target of intense chemical attack on a bi nightly basis. Heres the deal.

Two male ferral cats have apparently gone to war over territorial right to hang around my house at night. Every other night one will come and spray my porch. A night passes then the other will do the same in the same place. If you have ever smelled male cat spray its almost as bad as skunk.

I had dispatched a previous male doing this before and I guess opened hostilities with the feral cat community by doing it.

"Shoot them you fool!!!! " I can hear the collective typing beginning now. But bear with me.
After dispatching the first attacker that brought these two in to run night raids on my house apparently the feral cats entered intensive negotiations with my neighbors cattle and enlisted their aid. .

When the raid is in progress I go out but cant shoot because his cattle have positioned themselves directly behind the enter and escape routes of the feral cats. So I cant fire for risk of hitting a 1000 lb steer or two that I dont want to buy. Theres also my friendly neighborhood possum that eats our nightly table scraps that I dont want to succumb to friendly fire from me

A couple pursuits have only resulted in a lot of scratches from brush and once about tearing off the family jewels on my neighbors six foot barbed wire fence

The wife and have presently opened the war room, the kitchen table, to develop a plan where one of us leaves the house by one door and the other another one to drive the little buggers into going in one of the two directions where their escape wont be covered by the cattle. Suggestions helpful. Let you know how it goes.

Havaheart trap and a can of cat food should take care of the problem. What you do once they're trapped is entirely your call, but feral cats (and even domestic ones that run loose) are very destructive towards wildlife. There used to be a lot of quail at my house until cats showed up.

Try some peanut butter on top of that cat food.

Put out some bear or fox scent.

Pellet gun? Won't kill them but might make them think twice about hanging around if they get tagged with it a couple times.

We need "common sense" cat control.

I vote high power pellet gun.
I'd rather be lucky than good any day

There's nothing that will change someone's moral outlook quicker than cash in large sums.

Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights. Because you can't have five wolves and one sheep voting on what to have for supper.
