The first, and I wish it was the last.....................

Today, for the first time this year, I mowed the grass.

I keep telling my wife that some day I will concrete the yard and paint it green.

Mine looks like it could use it but I refuse to drag the mower out of the shed just yet. Weather turned cold again this week, had flurries on Thursday, I'm afraid to put the snowblower away and get out the mower just yet.

Our son-in-law is coming over tomorrow to mow ours. I'm very happy it's warm enough to grow grass again!

Our yard is still covered in snow here in Wisconsin. Looks like another day of precipitation here today...starting as snow, then a mix, and finally turning to rain this afternoon. Guess it would be a good day to make that holster for my wife's Sig.

Thats the way it is here. Im ready for warm weather though. I want to get on the bike and go to the outdoor range when it gets warm and stays that way.

It's the rapidly growing grass during the incessant rain that irks me. Never dry enough to mow.

I let the backyard grow wild (but mowed to maintain respectability), in order to increase biodiversity. When I moved in here, we had two species of grass in the backyard. 5 years later, there're at least five different low-growing plant species back there, and it looks just fine from a distance.

spend more fighting Ebola than on Thanksgiving dinner. Be grateful it's being fought there, so we don't have to fight it here.

As well, there are millions in potential patents possible for those with a tool shed, ideas, or creative loved ones to tell.. (and gumption) It's an untapped technology.

We had a window of sunshine for about 3H before dark today. I'll mow tomorrow for the first time this year. I'm most always the last guy in the neighborhood to mow.

I pay someone to cut my lawn. Its a year round thing here, not worth my time. Glad to hear the weather is improving in your area though!
