    Hammer murder

Not sure where to put this. it sure isn't funny and there was no defense. but it is off topic. Man in east San Diego murders neighbor with a hammer and plead guilty. Perhaps its time to muddy the legal system with hammer control legislation.

The Congress must BAN ALL HAMMERS! OR, IMPOSE draconain background checks before just any carpenter can walk into a Home Depot (or other ungly sellers of hardware) and buy one!

Nobody is coming for your hammers... relax. But there is no reason any civilian needs to own a sledgehammer.

What is the purpose of this thread as it relates to the theme of the forum? I see this going nowhere but in the ditch.

Considering it occurred in CA. their legislature might just pass a law to require a permit to carry and use hammers. Jack hammers and other such tools that strike more than a single blow with each trigger pull would be banned. There could be a list of approved hammers that could be purchased, but these would be subject to the lethality index set forth by the lawmakers. None of whom have ever owned or used a hammer. The public use of the term "hammer time" in any context would be considered a threat and therefore punishable by law. Hammer buy- back programs would be immediately instituted by city police depts.

This just proves the point that people who are willing to kill will use whatever weapon they can lay hands on. Our "gun control" stuff is disguised as being "safe" from firearms, but we all know the underlying reason is disarmament. It has to be. We do not see massive legislation to restrict other impliments.

Any tool can be used to kill. The Lawmakers just don't get it, they think that if they restrict firearms ownership to the maximum then suddenly all the "killing" will just vanish like fog in the sunlight. They just don't get it. People KILL other people and if they can't get a gun to do it, they will use other objects. That is the problem, not the tools.

We need to find out what motivates people to kill in the first place and see if there is anything that can be done to prevent that. Unfortunately the agenda to ban guns seems to be the only thing our lawmakers want to do.
