Connecticut Gov. Malloy's Comments Outrage Gun Makers

On April 7 when Malloy gave a TV interview on CNN with anchor Candy Crowley. In the interview, Malloy said, "What this is about is the ability of the gun industry to sell as many guns to as many people as possible, even if they're deranged, even if they're mentally ill, even if they have a criminal record. They don't care.''

Those comments have prompted outrage in the gun industry in Connecticut.

If the citizens and companies of these states cannot vote out the idiots who pass these asinine laws, then vote with your feet.

That Malloy is a Class A MORON. I'd Love to see Colt and Mossberg both leave that viper pit.

Unless they put their money where their mouth is and leave the state, their words are just that.

    From the article:

"When asked if he is concerned that gun manufacturers will leave the state, Malloy responded: "There aren't that many gun companies in Connecticut. This is not the Connecticut immediately following the Second World War in which Bridgeport was the second-largest munitions manufacturing center in the United States. Those companies have left Connecticut over a long period of time. We're not going to reverse that trend, but there's no reason for those companies to leave the state. Obviously, that's their option. We'll work with people who work with us."

That's a pretty shocking thing for a Gov. to say. Basically, he's saying he doesn't really care if they leave or not. And his "work with people who work with us" was a veiled threat that the gun companies better do what he says.

It's good campaign fodder for his opponent in the next election. Hope he gets slapped down by the people of CT. IDK...maybe they all feel like Malloy. We'll see.

If I owned a gun company in any state that was anti, I'd leave in a heartbeat for a friendly state.
