So the only ones who die are innocent victims. The guilty, at best, spend the rest of their lives going to college on our dime and you might even get to pay for their sex change.

I'm sure the tax payers of Maryland will be thrilled to pay higher taxes to build new prisons and support convicted felons for the rest of their lives. Will the last one out of the state please turn off the lights.

I own and run a company in Maryland , a few rich counties run the state ;and O'Malley is from one of those counties and he married into the family of the wealthy states attorney. He loves to play the game of politics . And please keep in mind they are grooming him to be Preident of the United States. If he is voted in will will lose much more then the death penalty.

I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

I did a collaborative paper in college on the death penalty. A common misconception is that it is more expensive to keep a prisoner in jail for life. It is actually considerably more expensive to convict a death penalty case. Not only does the original case take more time and money but there are multiple automatic appeals, the time spent on death row (more costly than a standard prison cell), and how could we forget the last meal :). Through our research we could find no information that supported the death penalty as more cost effective or more of a deterrent to criminals.

I am still in favor of the death penalty. However the facts show that it is pretty well useless.

How bout that I just wrote my state senators and told them enforce the gun laws on the books and max sentence and no plea bargain for those that commit a crime while using a gun and no early release for those. I delt with that bunch some time back. Funny when I first was in Idaho a long time ago death sentence was done by firing squad worked for me than and it would work for me now. I guess thats why I'm considered a dinosour, so be it
