Epic fail on so many levels. Lets hope it got him before he was able to add to the gene pool...

There's nothing that will change someone's moral outlook quicker than cash in large sums.

This guy was an obvious numbnuts. I work in the cellular field, and we have people stealing copper from us all the time. I've heard stories of guys that get into power panels and do some pretty intricate work to disconnect and steal copper. Someone like that obiously has the talent to get a job somewhere. My guess is they can't pass a drug test.

Epic fail? I think not. A self-indulging success.

I have to wonder if those high voltage wires were copper at all? At a place I worked the buried power cable was aluminum.

This is an obvious case for a law against power lines. Power lines are an obvious danger to those who need to steal them and should require a background check for anyone before they are allowed to steal them to make sure they are not a danger to society. We need to make sure only law abiding citizens can steal power lines.
One silver lining to this dark cloud is when he got caught by said background check: he could have been charged with using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
