Question What are your primary news sources?

What are your primary news sources, for finding out what's going on in the world?

    Local newspapers
    Local television news
    Radio
    National, big-market newspapers
    National, big-market television news
    Trade rags
    Internet news sites
International news sites, via the internet or television
By osmosis via discussion forums and interactions with "your group" of people
    Other?

If you care to be specific, certainly name the actual sources/sites. Might turn out to be a really good list, for keeping current on the world's goings-on.

1 The Net generally and DC principally.
    2 Local radio.
3 Local rag commonly known as a newspaper.

    That's pretty much it.

I use Lew Rockwell and Russia Today. You may wonder why I would use a Russian news outlet, but it's really simple. They have an outside and opposite point of view of what is going on internally to the US and do not suck up to any government.

Drudge Report and a variety of blogs, local paper and news. I am a follower of the middle east so I read several local papers in that part of the world. NOW Lebanon is a great source.

Not in any specific order. I also make sure I can find the same facts on at least two different sources that may have different biases.

    Huffington Post
    Al Jazeera
    BBC
    NPR
    MSNBC (Andrea Mitchell Show)
    Washington Post/Times
    Wall Street Journal
English pravda.ru: Russian news and analysis
    Rueters
    CSPAN
    CNN

    I stay away from
    ABC
    CBS
    FOX
    MSNBC

    For Comedy:
    Alex Jones and InfoWars
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

I use a mix of sources - liberal and conservative. The primary ones are below.

    Huff Po
    Drudge
    National Review Online
    Fox News
    WSJ
My BIL - he is an amateur news consolidator and he sends several political e-mails daily
    The Blaze
    World Net Daily
    Yahoo

CNN and FOX where they overlap it happened. Where one mentions it and the other doesn't ones embarrassed. Where they start then diverge factor out spin.

CNN and HLN. Can't stand the 4-6 people on FOX all trying to out-talk the others.

"Talk" shows have mostly become just that, "Talk Over Everyone Constantly" shows. Booooooooring, and off-putting. Not even worth watching, just because of that, IMO. Their method kills whatever credibility and message they otherwise might have had.

Don't do television or radio, myself.

    • Google News -- for a broad-strokes overview of headlines, worldwide.
    • Local newspaper's web site
    • Local news channel's web site
    • BBC UK, Al Jazeera, CNN -- for global reach, counterbalancing views/issues
    • If hunting for issues/news, a peek at Asahi Shimbun (Japan) and China Daily News, Spiegel (Germany), occasionally Haaretz (Israel)
    • A few "research/policy" type sites, for background, analyses -- security, international relations, geopolitics
    • A few discussion forums related to certain topics (but not really "news")

I don't really attend to normal news. It's all designed to be depressing, and doesn't provide any utility to my life, outside of financial news. I am an avid consumer of science news, though. I mainly get that by listening to a few specific podcasts and checking Science Daily on a regular basis.
There WILL be patents with this (simple) discovery. That, and "type III levers". It's untapped wealth, waiting for you who Google. Or your kids. People expanding on the potential are welcome to elucidate; I didn't phrase it well
