"Good kids" selling guns in school

Long story short, one kid breaks into a home on five separate occasions, takes the hidden safe key and takes a gun. Then he and friends are selling them at school. A Sig sold for $17. No one wanted the "old revolver" so he politely returned it to the owner that same way he took it. Oddly, all being minors, their faces and IDs were given on the news, which normally isn't done.

I suppose some homeowner is having to answer some questions also about securing his firearms.

"What you have is high capacity magazines with semi-automatic weapons--dangerous in and of themselves," said Det. Gregorio Collazo, Martin County Sheriff's Office.
The weapons were identified as a Kimber-1911 .45 ACP semi-automatic handgun, Smith and Wesson 9mm semi-automatic handgun, FN FNP 9mm semi-automatic handgun, a Ruger .357 Magnum revolver and a Glock 30 .45 semi-automatic handgun. Approximately 300 rounds of ammunition was also stolen and sold on campus.

"They did not understand the gravity of the situation they were in. There was certainly nothing sinister these young men had planned," said Joshua Deckard, attorney for two of the arrested teens.

Why would they possibly think that multiple B&E, stealing guns, and selling them at school for drugs would get them in serious trouble? I mean, aside from the fact that the people who are heroes to half our country have been all over the media for the past 6 months comparing anything at all to do with firearms with the most vile terrorists and child molesters.

"What you have is high capacity magazines with semi-automatic weapons--dangerous in and of themselves," said Det. Gregorio Collazo, Martin County Sheriff's Office.

As opposed to low-capacity, non-semiautomatic weapons, which everyone knows are NOT dangerous.

Well, those kids can kiss their future good bye. I've very surprised that they named them too as they were all under 18.
I wonder if they'll be charged as adults?

"Dad, this kid was selling a gun at school really cheap, but I think it was stolen. I didn't buy it."

"Good for you, son! I'm very proud of you!"

"Thanks, dad! Well, it was just a revolver anyway."

I bet someone made a mistake and released their names. I've seen kids who were charged with rape whose names were withheld
because they were minors. Seems strange.
