    Boar Sausage and Pancakes

One of my students went boar hunting and gave me some meat. This morning I had boar sausage and pancakes! It was fantastic!! Makes me want to either raise a couple of pigs or go boar hunting too.

My buddy killed his 37th hog this year, yesterday. He's also killing my cholesterol. You don't have to just make sausage, every bit of it as good as any other pig.

Tried bear once, too greasy for me. Wild hog is great if prepared properly.

If you lived in Sweden you could have your bacon walk right by your house. My sister took this off her back deck.

Badey, when did you say breakfast was? I'll bring some fresh eggs and Amish maple syrup.

Now we just need some home fries and some coffee, and we've got ourselves quite the breakfast!

Twenty years ago I made the annual pilgrimage to the Soggy Moccasin Rendezvous outside of Squamish BC for their big doin's. They had a fella in their club that could make a bear roast near like Prime Rib. Roast bear meat to die for+spuds, gravy, veges and bread+4.5% and stronger beer this rondy was the cat's meow.

OK I was looking for The Food Thread when I stumbled into this one. Yeah BBQ Pork at any Chinese joint is the cat's meow too.
Speaking of falling down...I stumbled into 8 pounds of Prime Rib at the store today. Man oh man oh man I'll be gnawing away at this hunka goodness the next 5 or 6 or 7 days. Washing it down with semi pulpy OJ... A veritable FEAST by anyones standard

Just membered...best sausage I ever had...I traded half a smoked salmon for 7 1/2# Buffalo sausage from Montana. Man them was sum dynomite victuals!!!
Firing a suppressed is on my Bucket List.

I'm just a spoke in the wheel but not a big deal.

For sausage, bacon, or anything else from a wild pig, does it matter if it came from a male or female? I've heard the males are not good.

I'm out here in central Asia.... My son had to move out to the Left Coast with his job.... SO, my sons buddies decide to 'help out' and stock my wife's freezer with boar and deer.
"OMG" my wife says... this is the best stuff EVER. This is the woman who forbade me to bring home Bambi or ANYTHING furry and 'cute' to eat.

    I'm hungry.....
