I love my pie, but a nice thick cake with real icing will get my attention in a hurry.

Black walnut ice cream, shame it is so hard to find. Also like molasses cookies or take a big dollop of molasses mix it with some fresh churned butter then drag a nice hot biscuit through it, now that is some good down home snacking.

    3) Chocolate chip cookies - my youngest daughter makes the cookies
    4) Vanilla Carmel Truffle Ice Cream - Only at Handle's in Ohio, haven't had it in seven years. God I miss it.
    5) Carrot Cake - my wife's recipe
    6) Red Velvet Cake - my wife's recipe
    7) Carmel Apple Pie
    8) Pumpkin Cheese Cake - Thanksgiving and Christmas treat
    9) Glazed lemon pound cake - wife's recipe
    10) Godiva assorted truffles
    11) Tobleron candy bars
    12) Cadbury Chocolate Easter Eggs - my wife thinks they are disgusting
    13) Cadbury milk chocolate and caramel

Turtle Pie available at Walmart. Used to be pecan pie but since I discovered Turtle Pie it's now my favorite. Really decadent.

The most interesting concoction I ever came across was at a picnic many years ago.

The center piece of the food table was a flowering plant in a pot.

The guy in line ahead of me remarked...."I haven't had any of this in a long time." The then took a spoon and heaped the dirt out of the pot onto his plate.

I just knew he wasn't playing with a full deck.

It was explained to me later that the flower was a plastic one and the dirt was ground up Oreo cookies mixed with other stuff to form a desert. They had even put "Gummy worms" into it. Once I wised up, it was delicious.

It was, of course, called "Dirt Cake".
