Skeleton found in couple's back yard

Homeowners Digging Fence Make Startling Discovery ? and Get Stuck With $5,000 Bill | TheBlaze.com

"A Canadian couple digging a fence earlier this month dredged up more than just dirt and roots. They found the skeleton of a 400-year-old aboriginal woman.
But that wasn’t their only surprise: she ended up coming with a $5,000 price tag as well."

There's a lesson in here somewhere...

I guess the moral to the story is "Don't fence me in".
I busted a mirror and got seven years bad luck, but my lawyer thinks he can get me five.

The moral of the story is that if you find something on your property, cover it up and keep your "discovery" to yourself. Even if it's Jimmy Hoffa.

If I ever find some "thought to be extinct" snail on my property I'm going to just go about my business and NO ONE (especially you, EPA) will ever know about it. Yes, I'm just that selfish.

So the lesson learned in Canada is to destroy the evidence.

It's only evidence if you "find" it.

Or you could take it to NYC and deposit in in Bloombergs penthouse suite.

    Shoot, shovel, and shut up?

As for the skeleton, it was reburied at a Aamjiwnaang First Nation cemetery.
I'd have sold it to them for the bargain price of...$5,000

    Thumbs down

The smart money would just bury it as JL suggests.

Anyone charging me 5 grand for ancient bones on my property...well my response would be far from 'family friendly'.

If there's no documentation it never happened.

The Commander in Chief has probably followed JL's advice but his neighbors continue to dig...it's just that the whole country is being charged for the skeletons being discovered. So the rule must be those who dig are those who pay.

Canada charges tax on the tax , they need to pay for that universal health care we are about to have shoved down our throats. I would have dug a hole in my neighbors yard and called the tax police on him.
