    'Gun ornament draws fire'....

    http://www.philly.com/mld/philly/news/16071089.htm

Nothing says Christmas quite like a glittery black handgun hanging from the tree.

"Bust a cap in your tree with this superglittery ornament in the shape of a handgun, complete with a satin ribbon for hanging," the online description of the revolver says. It is meant, the retailer says, as an "ironic twist" on the holidays.

I would rather find the real thing hanging from my tree when I get up in the morning, unfortunatly there is no one I know to hang one other than myself and then it wouldn't be a surprise.

For those still married, If your wife hung an ornament like that , would it mean that you can expect a gun for a gift?

Not exactly my pistol choice, but if they had a Peacemaker or a 1911 I would get one for my tree

Rejoyce Dear Hearts it is the sentiment that counts. Tis the season to rejoyce in the fact that we are able to keep and bear arms. This is, after all, a right that most of the rest of the world does not have.

Geez, people now getting their panties in a wad over an decoration?

They would really have a fit around my house, I have a collection of "gun" lighters (lighters in the shape of various firearms) (I'll take a picture some day for ya'll).

If it was silver instead of black I would get one.

When I was nine, on Christmas morning, I found a gun "under" the tree. Mine! A brand new shiny JC Higgins .22 cal rifle. Still have it.

If that thing wasn't so ugly, I'd get one.

I have shotgun ornaments, shotgun shell ornaments, bird dog ornaments, and hunter ornaments. I also have some miniture camo hunting clothes ornamnets and quail and pheasant ornaments on my tree.

This year my daughter has been collecting green and red shotgun shell hulls and we are going to make a string of lights with them.

I must be a redneck or something, but it only seems natural as the holiday season and hunting season are concurrent. At least for me, shooting and hunting with family and friends is a big part of the holidays.

Get a life people. They say they don't like ornaments for things that take hundreds of lives a year in their city. What about all the alcohol propaganda surrounding Christmas every year. These cry babies never stop whining. It makes me want to give them out to everyone I know.
