Good luck. I did the same thing almost six years ago.

Good luck. You can get a quit meter to keep track of your savings here:

So what did you do with that $38,836.18 you saved Mike?

Here's what my stats look like 2016 days, 22 hours, 35 minutes and 35 seconds smoke free.
60,508 cigarettes not smoked. $11,037.60 and 15 months, 12 days, 5 hours of your life saved

Smoked from about 1980 till 2003. Not a single drag since.

Best wishes on quitting. Make it past a year & it is smooth sailing.

My wife quit smoking when I did, but her savings aren't included on my meter. We have taken nice vacations every year and paid for a new vehicle, and still have noticeably more disposable income than we did as smokers.

It's amazing how much money you spend on those things and that doesn't even take into consideration the money spent on replacing clothes with holes burned in them, extra teeth cleanings, etc.

I smoked my last cigarette February 2007. I have to admit, it took me 2 years to be free of the habit. That includes the physical and emotional addiction. You can do it. I wasn't carrying in 2007 and that was probably a good thing. Some of the emotional issues I had to deal with because of the withdrawal symptoms were pretty harsh. I don't know how you will handle this and maybe you might want to leave the gun at home while you get past the first few days or weeks. good luck, you have my best wishes

I feel ya man, I'm quitting after this pack.

It's gonna suck, but it's something I gotta do. Best of luck, bro!

I carried one of those rubber stress balls in my pocket all the time. If my employees saw me coming down the hallway squeezing that ball, they all ran and hid.

I also learned to say "Excuse me. I really didn't mean that. I just quit smoking" a lot.
