I'd move outta the US so the administration couldn't tax the pooh outta me.
This is a discussion on If I Had A Million Dollars... within the Off Topic & Humor Discussion forums, part of the The Back Porch category; It doesn't have to be gun-related. What would you buy/do if you had a million dollars?...
It doesn't have to be gun-related. What would you buy/do if you had a million dollars?

I'd be obsessing over how to protect it's value. Dollar shrinks every day. The stock market is for insiders and suckers (and I'm not an insider). Land can tie your money up longer than you want it to. They're mining gold hand-over-fist these days...
I suppose 'ammo' it is.
BTW, once one pays off debts and mortgage, you'll still likely need to keep your day-job. Heck, even with 1 mill in savings, you still need a day job.
'Clinging to my guns and religion
I'd buy a few things. Give a good penny to church. They could do a lot of good with a $100K bonus. Nice home, not too expensive, but on a few acres. The Audi S4 I test drove for kicks a couple weeks ago. Man that was a sweet ride. A couple rifles, a new handgun for the wife. Upgrade my Jeep. All in all I'd probably spend about $300K, and invest the rest in various things.

I'd probably be miserable! but would like to try!
I don't always carry two concealed S&W 500's.........JUST KIDDING!
Invest it in the stock market. I won $12.00 in the powerball lottery last night. I am going to invest that in ammo.
I carry a gun, because a Cop is too heavy.

Pay off the mortgage, which is the only debt I have. Invest the rest, hopefully somewhere with real value.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.
Pay my tithe and put into the church and foreign missions. Pay uncle Sam his. I'd Pay the little debt that I do owe. Cash flow the rest of my school. And the rest save, purchase a few things I want, and invest. Keep my day job. Can't live without one. Regardless what the USG tries to do.
I'd buy you a green dress, but not a real green dress, that's cruel.
Investment property with the $500G after Uncle Stupid confiscates the rest.
