Moral of the story, if you are naked and high on crack, don't go swimming in Florida. That guy is lucky he isn't dead, and that those cops have some brass ones ...

Ya might be right Ret, last time I was in your beautiful state a shark was seen near the spot of water I was swimming in as were many of the hotel's guests, maybe 100 yards away from me. The hotel's lifeguard blew his whistle or whatever, man, that got everyone movin. There were also some rays of some sort around that week.

Yeah, this one might be a contender for an honorable mention

First time in FL, I went to see a shuttle launch at Cape Canaveral. On the way back, tornado activity intensified east of Orlando. I noticed signs along each of the dirt side roads, indicating "Mangrove Swamps / There Be Alligators." Uh, yeah. Okay. Stopping at a toll booth, I saw a huge tornado begin to form, in which the entire sky visible through the windshield was rotating in a ~15sec circuit, with a monstrous funnel dropping to halfway to the ground. The toll both attendant and I made a pact: she'd hop into the car if that bad boy dropped onto the road in front of us, we'd high-tail it back east toward the coast, but that it would be a toss-up as to who'd get to the first mangrove branches above the alligators' heads. True story. Wasn't carrying then. A few months later, I was. Moral: you never know what hand you're going to be dealt.
