I've been remembering all morning, but didn't feel like being the one to put the first thread out. We need a sticky for this one.

    I will never forget.

It is a sad reminder that war can get past our defenses and come to our shores to hit us at home. God bless the families of those who lost loved ones on that terrible day. Let us never forget what happened, and be ever vigilant.

I remember every minute of that day. God bless our country and our troops that keep it safe.

We can never forget who attacked us that day and why. To do so would be disrespectful to the memory of the people who lost their lives on 9-11 and the years since while defending us.

It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

You're 2 years off. Also, and much more importantly, this wasn't an event confined to NYC. On September 11, 2001, AMERICA was attacked. The physical place where it happened is not where the attack ended. We were all attacked. May we all recover from the truama of that watershed day.

What happened in 03? Sorry, couldnt help it.. I agree with Indianasig. It was not just NY, but our whole nation which was attacked. Gone but not forgotten. R.I.P.

We will always remember, but more importantly, we need to learn. Learn to not be sheep, learn to take our own safety into our hands, learn that we are really one nation even though there is much that divides us.

A real man loves his wife, and places his family as the most important thing in life. Nothing has brought me more peace and content in life than simply being a good husband and father.

I can't forget, even if I wanted. My birthday is September 11th.

I was 45 years old that day and I still remember the horror, it's something that no matter how old I get (57 today 9/11/13) or unless I totally lose my mind, I will always remember.
