I remember those days . . . then the knees and back let me down. Looking forward to a report.

I've known folks hereabouts who just take an extended vacation and stay out a whole month or however long the season is. They get as comfy as at home with a 12x16 foot Wall Tent and cook stove. There's a tent making outfit in Colorado that closes their shop and everyone there goes hunting. Davis Tent and Awning. They make a tent I really like. Two sizes; 10x10' with 4 or 5' side walls or 12'x12' with 5' walls. Something this size would be like living in a cabin. Super comfy.

Firing a suppressed is on my Bucket List.

I'm just a spoke in the wheel but not a big deal.

America...a Constitutional Republic. NOT a democracy as the liberals would have us believe.

Firearms, Firewood and sharp edged blade tools! Yes, it does bring a nostalgic tear to my eye, now that you mention it. Though I would not advocate going 'Naked and Afraid' in a Wyoming blizzard.......................

We set a squad tent w a wood stove for a bunk house and a separate tent and stove for cooking. I'm hoping the snow burns off and we can find a dry spot by Sunday afternoon. Otherwise the inside of the tent will be a mud hole for the week. The smell of wood smoke, gun oil and 4 AM coffee. Oh Lord. We've got a couple of newbies in camp so we'll wait for a bumpy morning and splash a bit of green food coloring on their eggs. We tell them theyre leftovers from last year. I believe I've actually seen a plate of bacon and eggs bark at a hangover.

This year it's 3 points on one side or better. I can live with that.

We set plaques up near the top for the guys we've lost. This year it'll be for my dad and my uncles buddy. They've been setting this camp since the 60's. A bottle of Dr McGuillicuddys will preside.

A 3" Model 60 cross draw in a Simply Rugged, a 300 Win Mag and boots that are too damn heavy. That's the stuff.

I've never been hunting. It sure as hell sounds like I'm missing out.

Years ago I did most of my deer, antelope and elk hunting in the area around Sheridan and the Bighorns. Where are you going?
