    Got flu shot?

Got mine today, ouch! Arm has been hurting all day.

Got yours yet or are you anti flu shot? Being around old folks it is a must, and after having the flu a few years ago and thinking I was going to die (and yes it was that bad) the decision was made to keep getting them each year.

    Excellent question, Sis.

Got mine in Sept. I'm an advocate of flu prevention (the disease is responsible for over 30,000 deaths per year in the U. S.; and it's not a good way to go.)

Okay, folks. Make the appointment to roll up that sleeve and take the shot.

Don't know if I will get another. Went to the er with chest pains after getting my shot at the hospital the nurse either hit a vein or it was a reaction to the shot. I'm fine the doctors are reviewing the case to determine if it was the shot. Never had a problem with the shot before.

Haven’t had a flu shot since I retired in 1991, haven’t had the flu since then either.

I hope you never do. I didn't get it until about 7 years ago and will never forget it. Gonna be blunt (ie: gross) here but this is truth. Living alone at that time there wasn't anyone to help out, I was so sick I was laying on the bathroom floor in my own puke because I was too weak to make it to the commode (almost but not quite) and my whole body was shaking/quivering from chills and fever.

The neat thing, I had two large dogs (just one now) at the time and remember somehow they knew I was that sick. When I did get back into bed the dogs jumped up and got on either side of me to keep me warm. Normally they were not allowed on the bed before but this time they knew and I did too.

My employer gives us a choice:

    1) Take Flu Shot

    2) Wear a Mask all winter

    I took the shot.

The Navy would never let me take it. When I enlisted and during my questionnaire and first visit with doctor, I told them I'm allergic to chicken feathers, all feathers for that matter. Because the vaccine was made from eggs (I can eat eggs just fine and told them so) the decision was made to withhold the vaccine from me to be on the safe side. A big red stamp "FLU" was stamped on my medical record folder which means 'no flu shots' and that was that. I understand they are experimenting producing the vaccines form other media, most of which sounds pretty gross, but the VA hasn't seen fit to change my status.

Yea got it a month or ago. Spent a few days in the hospital back in early Sept. and they suggested a pneumonia shot, so I got one of those also.

And go figure, I came down with Strep Throat a week ago... where's the shot for that? lol

I got my shot last year for the first time in my life and I got the flu. I also can either get the shot or wear a mask, so i've decided this year i'm going to wear the mask, mainly just because i'm pressured into getting the shot

I should get it before my CVS coupon expires, my government micro chip may be running down, I've been having those thoughts of a free society again.

I'm a teacher around 28000 students who live in dorms or communally in other housing AND I have bad lungs. So flu shot here. No side-effects for me in this year's batch.

My wife works in a medical facility and already has hers, says--unlike past years--this one makes you arm really sore.

I haven't gotten one yet this year but I know I shouldn't keep putting it off. Sometimes I get one, sometimes I don't, depends on how lazy I am that year.

I worked last year as a Flu shot nurse in one of those clinics that Wal-Mart and Sam's Club does so I gave myself one.
